| As there was no meeting this week it was decided by those present at the Netteswell Cup to meet at this venue at 6.30am. Take J20 off the M25 following A41 and after 6/7miles the A416. Access is via Waitrose car park on th right. Drive to the rear of the car park to a pay and display (3/4 quid) making sure you park between the lines. | An absent friend. - 08 May 2012 |
| It is with great sadness that we inform you of the loss of long time club stalwart Peter Cotterell who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday. Peter has been a member of Stort Valley for nearly forty years, a hard working Treasurer for over thirty and, more importantly, a close personal friend to us all. As well as working tirelessly for the club he was also good company and his newsletters will pass into club lore. He enjoyed our trips to Ireland and, later, Holland for a weeks fishing and never failed to make us laugh with his own brand of humour and anecdotes of life in general.
Farewell Peter, it has been both a privilege and a pleasure knowing you.
